Central Minnesota’s Go-To Source for Medicare Supplement Insurance

Medicare is the federal health insurance program for:

  • People who are 65 or older
  • People who are living with disabilities
  • People with end-stage renal disease (ESRD)

Don’t Come Up Short When You Need Medical Care

The federal government’s Medicare program does not pay all of the costs of medical care. That is why over 14 million Americans currently have Medigap: a private insurance plan that supplements Medicare. It provides coverage for several of the deductibles, copays and coinsurance the policyholder is obligated to pay when they use Medicare services. In essence, Medigap bridges the gap between what Medicare provides and what you are obligated to pay!

If you are a senior citizen, living with a disability, or living with ESRD, it is crucial to ensure you will be able to cover the total costs of your medical care. If you live in Central Minnesota, 218 Insurance Partners is standing by to create the Medigap plan that will give you true peace of mind!

Glossary
  • Coinsurance – An amount you pay as your share of the cost for services after deductibles. Coinsurance is usually a percentage (e.g. 20%).
  • Copayment – An amount you pay as your share of the cost for a medical service or supply (e.g. doctor’s visit, hospital outpatient visit or prescription drug). A copayment is usually a set amount (e.g. $10 or $20 per doctor visit).
  • Deductible – The amount you pay for service or a prescription before other insurance begins to pay.
  • Maximum out of pocket – The most you have to pay for covered services in a plan year. After you spend this amount on deductibles, copayments and coinsurance, your health plan pays 100% of the costs of covered benefits.
  • Premium – The periodic payment to Medicare, a health care plan, or a prescription drug plan.
  • Preventative services – Health care to prevent illness or detect it at an early stage (e.g. Pap smear, flu shot and screening mammogram).
  • Skilled nursing facility (SNF) care – Skilled nursing care provided on a daily basis, potentially including physical therapy and/or intravenous injections.
